Mr. NJ Ayuk born in Cameroon is the founder and CEO of Pan-African corporate law conglomerate, Centurion Law Group; Founder and Executive Chairman of the African Energy Chamber; and author of Billions at Play: The Future of African Energy and Doing Deals and co-author of Big Barrels: African Oil and Gas and the Quest for Prosperity. He is recognized as one of the foremost figures in African business today. He has gained an extensive experience with guidingcompanies at international, local and government’s level regarding for investment strategies. One of his recent advisories includes Oranto Petroleum that is one of Africa’s largest oil exploration companies, in the landmark possession of four tactical oil blocks situated at Niger Republic.
He is frequently active in organizing, intercession, and enactment of mining, petroleum, LNG and other natural resources for ruling private contractors of Uganda, Angola, South Sudan, Nigeria, Senegal and other sub Saharan countries. Counting his experience involves simplifying and concluding PSCs, EPSAs, JOAs, service endorsement, allowances, oilfield service, drilling agreements, license dealing, transportation issues at marine and pipeline, allowing transportation and sales of LNG in over 15 African countries. He has advised Petroleum Ministry, Senegal Energies, Petroleum Ministry of South Sudan, Mines Ministry and Hydrocarbons of Equatorial Guinea on their national local enactment strategies as his recent advisories.
He has also remained an elementary part of most judicious investment and projects redefining energysectors of Africa in recent years comprising the formulation of South Sudan’s first exploration and production sharing contracts and the begin of Equatorial Guinea’s offshore gas mega hub in 2019, first ever project in the African continent. Concluding from his past experience with United Nations, he advised governments for legal modernization, rule of law issues, and the tutoring of African judges, prosecutors and lawyers on a gratuitous basis.
